"This partnership brings together two things that are usually developed apart: the power and the platforms that use it. Building 500 megawatts of solar and 50 megawatts of BIPV alongside our own EV, hydrogen mobility and charging infrastructure means the energy this cluster generates has a customer on day one, inside the same fence. That is the model we have built at Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub and it is the model we are bringing to this partnership with Nippon Energy."The signing ceremony marks the formal commencement of the partnership. Definitive project agreements, site selection, phasing, and financial close are expected to follow in subsequent stages. Further details — including project location, investment value, and delivery timeline — will be announced as they are finalised.
Rana Group and Nippon Energy Group sign strategic partnership for a 550MW renewable energy and sustainable mobility cluster
Dubai- 26-08-2026 — Rana Group, together with its sister concern Erisha E Mobility
Private Limited, today signed a strategic partnership agreement with Nippon Energy Group to jointly develop a state-of-the-art Sustainable Free Zone and next-generation Renewable Energy E-Cluster. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of Rana Group, Dr. Darshan Singh Rana, and the Chairman of Nippon Energy Group, Michiteke Yamamoto, at a signing ceremony held at the office of Rana Group in Dubai.
The partnership combines 500MW of utility-scale solar generation with 50MW of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), anchoring a cluster that brings together six connected capabilities under a single development:
- Solar and BIPV generation
- Battery energy storage systems (BESS)
- Advanced manufacturing
- Electric two- and four-wheeler production
- Hydrogen mobility
- EV charging and smart energy infrastructure
Rather than a single generation asset, the two groups describe the cluster as an integrated ecosystem — pairing renewable power generation with the manufacturing and mobility platforms that consume it, inside one free-zone development.
A shared platform for energy and mobility
The agreement brings together Nippon Energy Group's generation and storage expertise with Rana Group's operating track record in electric mobility through Erisha E Mobility, and its broader experience developing large-scale industrial free zones. Under the partnership, solar and BIPV capacity is intended to supply the cluster's own manufacturing and charging demand directly, with electric two-wheelers, electric cars, and hydrogen mobility platforms drawing power from generation sited within the same development.
